Roderick comes from an important German aristocrat family although he lives far away from them. He has been in a boarding school in Tokyo since his mother died when he was 8 years old and his father decided that this would be the best for him because of his difficult character (he was a very spoiled and problematic child). Sundely his father died a year ago, and Roderick has inherited a big fortune and the title of "baron".
